Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The gauges work with the exception of the oil gauge, now it won't
start at all. The battery is good, lights and everything else works just
don't start. The oil gauge is reading low if not empty but I know theres
oil in the vehicle.

Does the engine crank (spin when ignition turned) The oil gauge shows oil pressure, not level of oil.

The engine is not cranking, and The oil level is very low

If the oil level, checked with dipstick, is low there is a good chance you burned up the engine and seized it. Remove the belt from the car and place a socket on the crankshaft pulley and try to turn it via a socket wrench. If it does not turn or is hard turning, remove all the spark plugs and try again. If it still does not turn the motor is seized.
