Here are a couple sites that explain what you need to do, if you are going to DIY: http://www.ehow.com/how_4843887_installing-auto-glass-ford-explorer.html ...... http://www.ehow.com/how_6167627_fix-window-falls-down-door.html ...... http://www.ehow.com/how_5852812_replace-side-window-ford.htm .............. The door panel is going to have to come off so buy new "Christmas Tree" clips before you begin, they are dirt cheap and usually break when pulled out

Option #2 is an Auto Glass shop....., Glass not broken put back on track: $55 at my local shop. They can do it in about 20 minutes But do not expect your location to be that inexpensive, These guys know me. Small town 'pro' as opposed to a long list of 'cons'

If the glass came out of the track on the botton, a three buck of silicone will do the trick once the door panel is removed. If part of the mechanical mechanism broke inside the door it will be a little more work.

My window had the same issue and the track inside the door broke away from its mount near the bottom of the track.. I tried to JB weld it into place but that lasted a week. I will have to unbolt the mount and remove it along with the track and either rivet it drill it out and use a screw and nut on both sides of the track to re-attach it back to the mount. The top portion of the track has a clip that slides onto a piece of channel that aligns the track with the window.
