does it do it all the time or just occasionally. Some vehicles have very sensitive alarm system which will trigger with thunder. Does the system reset itself after the alarm goes off? Of do you have to use the key fob to cycle from lock to unlock, then back to lock. Additionally, your vehicle is getting up in age. There could be a worker striker on the door pillar which does not allow the vehicle door to close properly. The striker should have a gray plastic sleeve around it. If it is missing or damaged the door will not close properly which may cause your problem.

correction, you could have a "worn" striker on the door pillar.....

Is the 'Door Ajar' light on? I had to have the fuses removed from the horn because the alarm would go off for no reason. Every now and then someone will tell me that my lights are flashing, like they do when the alarm goes off. Grrr!!
