Have a 2006 ford escape that is jerking going down road like no power sometimes dies..red lock light comes on sometimes.has been checkout multiple times at shop but never fixes it

Not sure what you mean by red lock light? Do you mean check engine light by chance? If so, next time it happens and your near an auto parts store (Autozone), pull in and ask them to put a scan tool on it, most will do it for free. I agree with Mark, it does sound like a misfire, but the scanner will tell you for sure and on what cylinder(s).
