99 crown Vic electrical problem

I put a new battery in my crown Vic a day later I noticed
when I looked outside that the doom light was on. I went
out made sure the switch was off as well as the doors
were closed. The battery is dead it started that day and is
completely dead. Any suggestions

Check the 'door ajar' switch is working properly and not causing the dome light to remain on and various computer modules to remain awake. You may also want to check for other parasitic drains on the battery; see: http://www.wikihow.com/Find-a-Parasitic-Battery-Drain
