The only way to find out is have a SRS code reader produce the code. This will direct you to what issue you are having. BTW is your horn working, your blinkers working, your cruise working? If these are not working as well, it is a good bet that the clockspring is bad. Ray Auto Right Sales

when you start the car the srs lamp should start blinking after a few seconds. It will blink kind of like morse code, --- -- --- -- e.t.c. count the blinks and assign a number to them. Above would be 32 with that we could give you some direction.

Guy, don't you have to set the vehicle in a mode to deliver the code, like holding the blinker, or turning it on and off a number of times? Also I thought this was true only on vehicles with OBD1 processes and older.

Don't know about the other manufacturers but Ford was nice enough to keep the srs blink diag in their cars.
