2006 Chevrolet 2500hd Duramax when headlights are on I am losing ground to AC compressor , I also get low coolant indicator, driver side head light real dim, passenger side not so dim, and check engine light is on. When I run a ground wire from the front left battery and to the AC compressor the compressor works and the lights get brighter. After resetting the check engine light and turning the head lights off I do not get the check engine, AC compressor works. Where do I start???

I NEED TO KNOW THE PINN OUT FOR THE SECONDARY IGNITION SWITCH, NOT THE CYLINDER KEY SWITCH, BUT THE SWITCH MOUNTED UNDER THE DASH ON THE STEERING COLLUMN THAT IS ACTUATED BY THE CYLLINDER VIA A PUSH ROD. IT IS A 1988 CHEVY SCOTTSDALE 4X4 PICK UP K2500 350 ENGINE 5 SPEED MANUAL SHIFT ON THE FLOOR. IT IS MISSING THE CONNECTOR OFF THE WIREING AFTER A FAILED ATTEMPT TO ADDAPT THE WIRES TO A STEERING COLLUMN THAT HAS BEEN INSTALLED THAT CAME FROM A 1997 SUBURBAN. NOW I JUST NEED TO MAKE IT RUN SO I CAN WORK. IT RAN OK FOR THE LAST MONTH ACTUATING THE OLD SWITCH BY HAND TO START IT. I NEED TO GET BACK THERE.
