Transfer case

Sorry I was only wanting to know if I could put a np2
transfer case in a truck that has a np8 transfer case in it
mow.

I know one thing. Even if the cases are identical except for the shifting method your check engine light will probably be on all the time unless you can somehow rig things to fool the ECU. I would also think that you will have to find a way to lock in the front axle. I would not do this myself, too much trouble.

Perhaps an off road forum might be the best place to ask this question.
