2004 Chevy Silverado was running fine next day nothing

Was running great went to Austin and back to
levelland and here to Barstow last day I drove
parked and next day wanted to run to the store and
wouldn't start only dashboard light would come on
the anti theft light would stay on did my research
and tried all and still nothing been without it for
two weeks now any suggestions or a hand
checked fuses did that 30 min 30 sec try reset
computer this called dealer and they said this truck
does not have a chip on key if any suggestions it
will help

the key should have a chip , What does it do ? click ? headlights nice and bright ? What about a jump start , is there power at the starter solenoid when you hit the key ?
