Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2004 Chevy Silverado 1500 4 wheel drive automatic.
Abs and brake light showed up first. The same day, Speedometer stopped work and it wouldn't shift out of first gear. My mechanic replaced the VSS sensor, Cleared it, seemed fine. The next day I drove 65 miles, while on the highway home, abs light showed up again and red brake light. got off the highway. Stopped, took off no speedo, wouldn't shift out of first again !

Just have to have the vehicle scanned for codes so you know what to fix. ABS and brake light are not going to go off until the problem is fixed. The ABS light probably is tied in with the VSS, if there is a bad wheel speed sensor, this would affect the speedo. Just have to fix what the codes say.
