My truck stalls when it's in reverse or drive.

I own a 2003 chevy silverado ls extended cab. 4.8 v8 it started stalling intermittantly when I went around corners or would turn right or left. It would always start right back up. Today, it stalled going straight and it wouldn't start again. I called aaa and he beat on the gas tank while I started the truck and it worked. He thought, as well as other people, that the fuel pump was going bad. After all there is around 180k miles and it had never been replaced. I went and bought a new pump and spend a few hours removing the tank and installing the new pump. It started up good but as soon as I put it in reverse it stalled. Then again in drive. Now everytime I hit the breaks with the truck in gear the truck stalls. Does anyone have any ideas on what else it could be? I would definately appreciate your thoughts. Thank you

kristiancharles11111, I have experienced this in two different ways. Last year my 2000 Silverado hit 200,000 and started to cut out on me when i hit the breaks to slow down or stop. I found that i had a hole in my fuel pressure regulator diaphragm. Easy fix!. This year i experienced the same symptoms but had a stuck air idle control valve instead. Also and easy fix but slightly more spendy. Best of luck.

I start my Chevy Silverado 95 5.7L engine it start right up an then stalls I beat on the fuel tank it took me around the corner an then turns off when I make a right turn everyone is saying it's probably the fuel pump I researched it and I think it's Fuel Pressure Sensor please give me a answer an a phone number of a Mobil mechanic.
