why won't my 93z71 chevy stay running when u put it in drive or reverse

Truck will run in idle even when u  rev the engin up but now if you put into gear it dies

Do the wheels try to move? Almost like you dump the clutch on a stick shift? It sounds like the torque converter clutch is stuck on. Jack the rear up and secure it well on jack stands. Then shift it into gear. It should her but not stall and the wheels should turn

Well finally got it moving don't know what it was but I drove it out last night an now today I can't get it to start again
