Truck kills everything when I go to turn my key on

So my got in my truck this morning turned the key a
to where my radio and lights would come on sat
there for my long drive ahead of me and as soon as
I cranked my keys forward my lights radio
dashboard just shut off completely have no clue
why this happens check my alternator checked my
battery put my new starter on and still nothing and
just remember my truck never even cranked over or
even sounded like it tried to crank

Possible bad battery. Make sure the battery connections are clean and tight.
