Oil light

Asked by GuruYRZMB Mar 24, 2018 at 08:29 PM about the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LB RWD

Oil light comes on and gauge goes to zero truck
runs fine no funny noises  ,so i changed the oil and
sending unit and still comes on .as soon as you
touch the gas pedal it goes up to 20 or so and no
light .i mean barely touch the gas pedal and it goes
away immediately .

Sounds like you ave a lot of miles and may have bearing clarances problem

Put 30 wt oil in after you drain it and see if that helps if so bearings shot
