Stuck in 4low

Asked by Jakecatone Jul 07, 2018 at 11:55 PM about the 1994 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab 4WD SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So i have 1994 ford ranger 4x4 4.0 and just last
week i pulled my dads f450 out of a pit of sand and
right now i have automatic 4x4 buttons and vacume
locks  theyve always worked really well but when ill
pulled my dad out the front left made some loud
pops and when turned it made for pops it sound
like something being snapped but everything ok the
outside was intact so when i got to flat ground i
went to push the button to take me out of 4x4 low i
put it in neutral then applied brake pushed the
button but it would come out no click from the hubs
unlocking so i trailered it home so now i just got
enough for some warn hubs hopeing theyll do the
trick just wondering if there any major thing it could
be. Thank for any input
