Door Chime and Dome light

Asked by cpoing Feb 20, 2016 at 10:28 AM about the 1994 Ford Ranger XLT Extended Cab SB

My door chime and dome light stay on when I insert the key into the ignition, I
have fiddled with the plunger on the door jam, sprayed a lot of WD-40 into it
and replaced the ignition lock cylinder; before I replaced it the chime and were
constantly on.

You check all door ajar switches? Unplug switches see if it stops. Sounds like a bad switch
