2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited not starting

Asked by Nathan Dec 03, 2015 at 05:14 PM about the 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I parked my jeep and took the key
out of the ignition but when I opened
the door it made that same chime as
if my key was still in the ignition and
now my jeep will not start. Seems
like the vehicle thinks the key is still
in the ignition. Anyone ever here of
this happening or know any ways to
fix the problem?  I can still turn the
lights and radio and everything on
but the engine just doesn't even
attempt to crank.
