IF YOUR FUEL PUMP IS IN THE GAS TANK IT PROBABLY SUCKED UP SOME SEDIMENT. YOU'LL HAVE TO CLEAN OUT EVERYTHING FROM THE TANK TO THE ENGINE. I'M HOPING THAT SEDIMENT DIDN'T MAKE IT TO THE ENGINE. IT'LL GUM THINGS UP. GOOD LUCK.

yeah.. try changing the fuel filter and look into it to see if it was really full of sediment

I had a simular situation and found I had bad gasoline. Open purge valve let a little of the gas come out and smell the gas see it smells like paint thinner if so pump out bad fuel and put in new then try.

Sediment gets in the gas lines/in tank fuel pump is the tank runs dry. Start with changing the fuel filter, and when disconnected, run about a pint out into a clear glass jar. Let it set for a little time, look and see if there is any gunk or foreign matter in the bottom of the jar. Be careful not to shake it before looking at it. If it has sediment in it, it would not be a bad idea to clean out the gas tank, and flush the lines or your injectors will plug or not operate fully and you may have to get them serviced for $150 or there abouts. Do change the filters.
