Sounds like a diesel! But only when you are accelerating brought it to Sears they saw no leak. I removed heat sheild over exhaust manifold and saw no cracks. Sounds like it is towards front of car. But can only hear when your driving so tough to find. Any suggestions?

Ok you need to verify your engine support, the exhaust gasket, the catalitic converter. Sorry for my english but I try to explain to you. When you have a proble in the car you need first ask you question. 1. Engine cold or hot? 2. In drive or neutral? 3. Driven the car or stop? 4. The engine loos power or not? You can have a proble with the catalityc converter or a gasket in the down pipe or exhaust gasket maybe the exhaust pipe have the support broken and when you hit the gas the engine move toward by torsion and the loosing pipe hit the chassis under your car and that is the sound. In the shop I work i receive one cr-v with a noise under only when you hit gas in drive I found the noise in the rear drive shaft this drive shaft have weight inside when this weight are loose you have big noise under sometimes if you have problem in the output shaft of the transfercase this sound is transmited to the rear shaft.
