my buddy just bought a 76 t/a with shaker but has problem

my freind is having a problem, when he puts the shaker on the car it does not perform well. takes it off and it performs way better. has new air cleaner. please advise. 400 ci auto.

My Trans am has no problem with the scoop on. '-' there mist be something wrong woth your friends t/a new air cleaner.

my pontiac grand prix 2001 check engine light came on. i checked the codes and the coils came up. i tried testing the coils myself with a small vacuum hose a a light tester to see if i was getting the right amount of spark and all of a sudden my car turns on but shuts off immediately after its been turned over. what could be my problem? please help 1 Answer
