Trying to figure out what's actually going on with it would love to fix it

(1998 Dodge ram 318 5.2L 4x4 single
cab with 36RE trans)
Bought the truck ran great for a month
then the RPM's would fly up and I'd
loose power if I came to a stop it
would stall. Now I hooked it up to the
computer and it said it was a the seed
sensor so I changed it. Fixed it for
2weeks then one one night it started
back up then I parked it and shut it off.
Then I couldnt get it to move seemed
like I had no gears or it won't leave park
was told it was the trans. Year later I
put it in four high and got it to move
but will not go in reverse . Will only
move if I put it in 4h ?

Could be something wrong with your transfer case. Hope this helps.

OK, I also have a 2003 Dodge Intrepid Interceptor, it has been broken down for a little while with what I was told was a hole in the head gasket. I am debating on if it would be better to sell it or try and get someone to repair it for me. I love this car but its just sitting right now. Hoping for some good advice. i have a 1998 dodge ram 1500 sport with a 5.9 gas motor. im trying to figure out what trans i have in the truck. the tag under the hood says bd48. when i look that up it shows for a diesel. so im not sure what trans i have. i cant find any tags on the trans at all but on the bell housing does have 064-2 if that helps any 3 Answers
