I had the same problem for years in my 2000 GMC Sierra, didn’t know what was going on. Finally, my problem is solved and the truck runs strong like it used to. I am amazed how much power I have in my truck now. It was solved by accident, I had a slow oil leak leaving spots on my driveway. I took it in and had the intake mantafold gasket replaced, the oil pan gasket replaced as well as the gasket between the transmission and the engine. All leaks have stopped, and the power in the truck has returned. It brought back the joy of driving my truck again.
