Question type: Car Customization

I have 1982 f150 reg cab, long bed. I want
to swap the 351w for a 1998 P71 motor.
What kind of headaches am I setting my
self up for? Help

Not sure what a P71 is but 1998 V8 motors would be a Triton so you would need the engine, transmission, ECU and all the wiring and smog devices that go with the engine/transmission.

P71 is the police Crown Vic. I'm thinking, the engine, Ecu, and wires. Bare minimum. And probably, E40D or 4R100 trans. I have C-6 trans now on 351w. I've got mixed reviews as to wether the 4.6 will bolt right up
