Car booking And cancellation

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

If u select a second hand car and pay the booking
amount. After few days you give half of the asked
price for that car through online payment but as u
go for the delivery for the car the same day, u find
that the car is not as good as was expected. U
cancel the deal and ask for the refund. U give them
a written request for the cancellation, they inform u
that the refund less the booking amount will take
7- 10 working days and will be given through only
cheque. I want to ask if it is normal to take so
much time in refund or the dealer is just making
me fool and want to steal my money.
