battery not charging

Question type: Car Customization

I swapped motor and transmission and wires on
my 89 Silverado 1500 to a 92 Scott dale 2500
wires I mean all harness to fire wall. I have went
trough 3 alternater and 3 batteries . and did did
the short test on both sides of battery where u
pull out fuses one at a time light never turned
off . I also put my computer for my motor  I
have tried just about every thing can anyone
help

It has a one wire alternator. wires are all good and drains the battery when running will not run with out battery and does when running when battery is drained
