Question type: Car Customization

I have a 03 6.0l and was wanting to install a 2000 watt inverter for tools and stuff. I am going to permanently mount it on the truck and was wondering if it mattered which battery i hooked it up to. I didn't know if one battery was a primary or secondary or if i needed to be concerned with the electronics of the truck and all. If anyone has any advise I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

NO it dont matter which battery you hook to,you will want to put in a fuseable link or 2 into this system to protect it from burning the electronics, you may also need to upgrade to a higher amp altenator to operate this inverter.
