i just swapped a motor in my 2002 ford explorer now it wont even turn over the starter make a sound like a hair dryer but doesn't actually try to start the vehichle what do u think is the issue plz help

Starter runs without engaging. remove starter and bench test, inspect flex plate or flywheel teeth.
