Have a 2009 silver ad 1500 check engine light comes on and stays on for awhile but then goes off after I turn it off a time or two any ideas?1996

2003 focus, 130k miles, electrical light comes on intermittently. Don't notice any change in the engine, seems normal. Goes off after turning off and on. Sometimes gauges will drop to nothing then shoot back to max out. Radio stays on fine during this event and don't notice any change at all in engine. No one has been able to give me a satisfactory answer - "alternator maybe overcharging, it's a ford thing". Anyone know about this?Thanks 2 Answers
