Is buying a car out of state costly?

It depnds how far away the car is. Are you going to drive it back home or get it towed/shipped. I've bought a car out of state and it cost me no more than if I were to buy it in state. However, you would need to pay for gas, hotel, food, etc, which could get costly. I lucked out bc I had a second home in PA so I stayed at the lake house.
