what is a turbocharger
1 Answer
A turbo is an air compression device that forces air into the piston combustion chamber of an engine that uses air and fuel to rotate the engine. More air, more fuel, more power. The most common form of turbo is an exhaust propelled system that relies on air that is already been used by the exhaust , there for making it very efficient. The second most common propellant is the engines rotating assembly "The drive belts" Making it less efficient because it is stealing some of the engines momentum in order to make boost or compression. The silliest form that I have seen was a CO2 setup that required a bottle. This design is a bad idea for everyday use since you have to fill the bottle after a few uses.
