How much weight can the roof rack of a 2018 chevy equinox hold?

If the owners manual says 220 pounds, why would you question it? If you need more, look into roof racks or roof rack modifications that will let you add more weight. Car parts stores and camping stores are a good source for these..... If you put too much on the rack, it could fail and leave you with needed repairs or replacement. You could also go to Chevy's website and read more detail about this.

Remember, you will be adding weight to the top of the vehicle. Adding more than the recommended load will change the stability and ride of the entire car. This could make for an unsafe condition.
