I think you have to get it to the dealer to reflash the computer , You could have bought test equipment instead of parts you didn't need now you're back to square one , cranking is turning over , it cranks but won't start just so we're on the same page ,, One last thing , those cars are junk , as long as people keep buying them they'll keep making them

"Turning over" is "cranking". I think you mean to say it is turning over (cranking) buy not starting. Make sure the battery cables are clean, tight, and connected to the correct battery terminals (red to positive and black to negative). Check the starter and alternator connections as well.

There are many things that can cause an engine to stall while driving and then fail to restart. In your case, though, as you replaced the battery and alternator, I'd check to see if the alternator is good; especially is you bought a rebuilt or reconditioned unit..... After the engine starts, it's the alternator that powers the car and replenishes the battery. Your alternator isn't providing enough to run the engine, and it's not recharging the battery.

That sounds like the engine lawsuit recall. It's for safety because some of these engines catch on fire or just shut down due to hybrid failure. Check your VIN for Recall 198 & Service Campaign 966
