No back lights work on my 2001 chevy silverado

Asked by Tazzie9264 Mar 12, 2017 at 02:13 PM about the Chevrolet C/K 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My back brake lights, turn signal and parking lights are not working. I already
checked the bulbs and fuses. Don't know what else to check.

It is nice to have a test light for checking these kinds of things. There are some plugins under the back end that get corroded. Pull those apart, and should check for power there, clean up the connections and plug back together. Then if there still not on you should check for power in the bulb sockets. See what kind of condition the bulb sockets are in, if there bad or not. After that there is a circuit board in the tail light lens that could be bad.
