Brake lights won't work for a 98 Chevy silverado z71 k 1500

I'm having the same problem. I have a 98 z71 the blinker on the passenger rear wasn't  
working so I got new circuit boards and replaced both sides with bulbs as well. The
blinkers were working. Went to the store and the fuse to the blinkers blew. I changed it
and it blew 2 more times every time I would turn the right blinker on. I replaced it one last
time and they started working again and the fuse has yet to blew but now my brake lights
aren't working. The signals work and when I turn my lights on the tail lights light up but
when I press the brakes nothing... I've changed relays, fuses, brake switch, all bulbs
circuit boards in the tail lights and checked for bad or cut wires. I'm at a complete loss.
Any help would but gladly appreciated!

similar problem here. brake lights stopped worked, cabin brake light doesn't work, tail lights don't work, but both turn signals work just fine. checked all fuses and they are good.

You have a spot in the wire somewhere through out the truck that is showing the wire so its touching metal somewhere and blowing the bulbs and making the brake light not work either
