What can be the problem to my oil Pressure gauge working improperly?

Asked by JB96 Mar 11, 2015 at 12:45 AM about the Chevrolet C/K 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1988 C1500 silverado and my problem is my oil pressure gauge does not read
correctly. I already replaced the pressure switch by the oil filter but now when I start it it
only moves up to the first line on my gauge. Yes i've checked my oil levels plenty of times
it is not that. Help please.

Put a mechanical gauge on it and make sure your pressure is good. Oil level doesn't mean your oil pressure will be good
