What's a WS? There were only 2 cab configurations from 87-96, A regular cab and extended cab

Could you elaborate on what the WS package is? I've never heard of it before

its some kind of work model. ive been to several sites like edmunds and its in those sites. i wonder if the ws model is a rare one?

From what I can find it's a bare bones work model, it had vinyl floors instead of carpet, plain steel wheels and possibly glass instead of plastic headlights with virtually no options. They also did a GenIII version (97-04). There were 3 trim levels IIRC for 87-96 Dakotas.... Work Special (WS), Base and Sport, all available in either 2wd or 4wd. There was an SLT option that was a quick order option available on the base model trim package also.

Yes it's in the VIN... the 6th digit I believe, but it's not 100% accurate, the best way will be to take the VIN to the dealership and ask for a build sheet or VIP summary report, it will give you all the information about your vehicle including all options, purchase date, previous registered owners (only ones that registered with chrysler) service history from any Chrysler dealership.... I got one for my R/T, didn't cost me anything

justin, i found out that my truck is a 95 dakota sport/slt. the 5th in the vin is the model and the 6th is the slt. i guess it was better then i thought.
