Driving along n I heard it backfire, then it acted
like it was running out of gas and quite n
wouldn't start back up! :(

Here's a list of things to check distributor,fuel filters,spark plugs,spark plug wires, check to see if any of those are bad if there ok right back and were go from there. good luck

Crank the engine while the distributor cap is off that may have afiber timing gear that the teeth broke off make sure it is turning while cranking
