HOW DO YOU OPERATE THE DVD PLAYER IN A 2002 MONTANA

Asked by Starguard Apr 19, 2012 at 02:19 PM about the Pontiac Montana

Question type: General

I have a 2002 Pontiac Montana that has the DVD player mounted under the seat behind the driver. Problem is that when I play a DVD, I can see the picture, but I cant get any sound from the headset. I can hear the radio if I turn it on, but with the DVD sound there is nothing. Need Advice.

is it a factory or afterfarked DVD? factory would be Panasonic only. If it is aftermarked, the dvd usually will play over the speakers by tuning it to a certain station on the presets(people set it on number one or number 6 mostly) if it is not preset, you can tune up or down to find it, and it will usually be either above 107.1 or below 92 on the FM tuning. If it is factory, you have to choose the source correctly , and then you can also use plug in walkman type headphones too on the overhead console. (there will be jacks for that)
