Car wont start when cold unless put gas in throttle body and car will start and be fine for rest of day until shut car off and go out next day car will do same thing again 4 Answers

I have a 88 grand am le 2.0 I just changed the fuel pump and it does make sound again but it will not start. If it is getting spark and fuel why will it not start? is there not enough fuel pressure?
