is it only on pavement? the 4 wheel drive is meant to slip at the tires during cornering on SLIPPERY surfaces. There is no need to use it on dry pavement. The front axle is locked which is causing the wheels to skip. The outside tire wants to turn fster than the inside tire is moving, therefore causing the skip your talking about. Easy solution, dont use 4wd on pavement and only use it when you need it.
