I have problem with 4 wheel drive on my King Ranchn 2004 F250 Super Duty

my 4 wheel drive was working fine all along, I was on a 400 km trip, when I put in 4/4 I would hear a (rubbing sound) like a barring would, It become louder, the next day it would shift In and out ok, then it stop shifting, it show 4/4 in the dash but it do not go in 4/4.....can any help? it would be greatly approached if any can ......Thank's
