does the theft light always blink when the car is turned off?

Yes ,it is the little red blinky on the dash,it let,s the car crook,s know that it is armed,and ready to yell for help,if they touch it.

Right on TST, that and also indicates immobilizer set so car won't start even if they did get in and try to punch ignition..but only an amateur would-be thief would even try that.

My 2010 red light has blinked, every since we bought it new, the dealer told us that the blinking red light in the middle always blinks, to let you know it is armed,and working properly....hope this helps
