I have a 2012 Camry LE with 98000 miles on it.

Asked by josemodoor Jul 28, 2015 at 11:42 AM about the Toyota Camry

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Mostly from highway rides. When we went for an oil change Toyota Dealer suggested to
flush and fill Transmission Oil. I believe the original manufactures transmission oil need
not be changed unless absolutely necessary.
What is my best option?

I would have the fluid changed not flushed and the filter changed. Let the dealership do this and not the local quick lube place. It is very important to get the correct fluid.

Jose, other than routine maintenance, have you noticed less problems since your vehicle has primarily been a highway car.
