I have a 96 pathfinder that blows hot where 2weeks ago it was blowing ice cold? Put 3 cans of freeon in and still the same hott coming out of it.

First locate the compressor and verify if the clutch is engaged, if it is on and turning, does the compressor cycle rapidly? too much refrigerant in the system will kick out the high pressure switch, too little refrigerant will kick out the low pressure switch if equipped, 3 cans of refrigerant seems to me as too much, check for a possible leak in the system, there will be refrgerant oil on or around the system components, if no leak found and compressor is running, feel the lines going into the firewall, the large line should be cool, the smaller line should be warm.... if still not working post again with what you find after you check these things.
