I have a 97 Honda civic hatch the brake fluid

it's leaking somewhere , look on the inside of the rear wheel on the drum , is it rust brown or brake fluid black ? Any dark/wet areas should be checked . What I do to check a master cylinder is put very light pressure on the brake peddle and if you make it to the floor then it's worn .

you can also take the vacumm line off the booster and check to see if there is any brakee fluid in it
