98 Honda Civic VTEC

Asked by Leroy Sep 12, 2018 at 09:19 AM about the Honda Civic Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

98 Honda Civic VTEC. We changed spark plugs and insulated the bogey
cables that had an electric leak. Everything was 100% fine until we
reconnected the Speedometer cables...after econnecting, the car wouldnt
start and all injectors fired at the same time and flooded the system on swing
alone. So since then the car will not start at all, it swings and floods, however
we have pulse on the injectors, spark plugs are active and everything is in
place. We looked at ECU and it came back positively working from
engineers, distributor came back as being in positive working order as well.
Im lost!

Just to add that injectors were taken to the engineers as well and came back as positive.

Are you using a noid lite to check injector pulse? I think the injectors have battery current on one side with the switch on if the other wire grounds it will fire all injectors but this would be obvious with a noid lite
