85 300zx turns over, but not getting fire from distributor?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Turns over, but doesn’t start.  Strayed gas in throttle body.  Didn’t work.  
Pulled #1 plug wire from distributor, had assistant turn it over.  Didn’t see
spark from distributor to wire.  Any suggestions for next steps to isolate the
problem?
