WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE TO GO AND TRY TO ACCELERATE IT STARTS SPUTTERING WHEN I LET MY FOOT OF THE ACEELERATOR IT STOPS IF I DRIVE 25 MILES PER HOUR IT IS OKAY

Does the the check engine light come on during the problem or stay on? The best approach is to check for codes and take it from there.
