where does the fuel pump/float sit on a new spec ford bantam bakkie

My fuel gauge moves up and down by alot, so i cant gauge how much fuel i
have in my tank. I want to check the float but dont know where to find it. any
help? also my bakkie idles between 1500rpm and 2000rpm when its warm

The float is located in the fuel tank with the fuel pump. Try the instrument cluster self test.
