my 1999 cadillac sedan deville says starting disabled what should i do

Try removing the negative wire on the car battery to reset the system. It might be recognizing the chip in the key.

if tenspeeds recommendation didnt work could have a passkey problem my 99 deville the wires to the ignition broke u can bypass with resistors same ohms as ur key the wires breaking or wearing down is a common thing also the pellets in the ignition may be dirty or ur key warn all cause same problem
